NEW YORK: The world’s oldest man, Spaniard Saturnino de la Fuente Garcia, has died on the age of 112 years and 341 days, the Guinness World Records stated Wednesday.
He had been declared the oldest residing man on the planet when he turned 112 years and 211 days outdated, the London-based group stated, and had been because of have fun his 113th birthday subsequent month.
Owing to his diminutive stature, the 1.5 meter (4.9 ft) tall Spaniard, who was born in Ponte Castro, Leon, on February 11 1909, prevented being drafted to combat within the 1936 Spanish Civil War and as a substitute ran a profitable shoe enterprise.
