NEPRA allows KE to charge additional Rs11.10 per unit tariff

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursday allowed Okay-Electric to enhance its energy tariff by Rs11.10 per unit on account of gasoline price adjustment (FCA) for June 2022.

The FCA for June 2022 might be charged with the invoice for August and September 2022, which might be paid by all Okay-Electric shopper classes besides lifeline shoppers.

The Rs11.10 enhance will put a burden of over Rs25 billion on shoppers, together with GST.

“The said adjustment shall be shown separately in the consumers’ bills based on units billed in the month of August and September 2022 by K-Electric,” the notification talked about.

The regulatory authority clarified that out of a complete FCA of Rs10.11 per kWh, an quantity of Rs3.01 per kWH shall be charged within the billing month of August and Rs8.09 per kWh within the billing month of September.
