BASEL: All England Championships finalist Lakshya Sen on Monday pulled out of the Swiss Open Super 300 match to get some rest after two weeks of gruelling badminton.
The 20-year-old from Almora made back-to-back closing appearances on the German Open and All England Championships within the final two weeks.
“He is just not taking part in Swiss Open as he’s feeling drained. He has knowledgeable the Badminton Association of India. So he shall be again to Bangalore, get 7-10 days of rest after which go for the Korean Open,” Sen’s mentor Vimal Kumar informed PTI.
Sen was scheduled to face fellow Indian Sameer Verma in his marketing campaign opener.
A product of the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy in Bengaluru, Sen has been in sensational type within the final six months.
