Baseball followers have been injured by “celebratory gunfire” following a Blue Jays game in Oakland Monday night time.
The Oakland Athletics mentioned in a press release posted to Twitter that the incident occurred after 9:30 p.m.
“Following last night’s Oakland A’s postgame fireworks show, officers were notified of a possible shooting victim inside the ballpark,” the crew mentioned.
“During the preliminary investigation, officers located three fans struck by bullet fragments from what appears to be celebratory gunfire occurring throughout the city of Oakland.”
The assertion mentioned a fourth sufferer later walked into a neighborhood hospital.
All of the victims have been reported to have non-life-threatening accidents.
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) and Crime Stoppers are providing a reward for data resulting in an arrest, the assertion mentioned.
“OPD will continue working closely with the Oakland A’s security to ensure the safety of all those attending future A’s games at the Coliseum,” the crew mentioned.
The Blue Jays face the A’s in Oakland once more Tuesday night time.
