Concern grows for Iranian woman detained after hijab protest

PARIS: Concern grew on Friday over the destiny of a younger Iranian who protested on a bus towards the compulsory scarf for girls, following reviews that she had been subjected to a compelled televised confession and hospitalised.

Sepideh Rashno, 28, disappeared in mid-July after changing into concerned with a dispute on a Tehran bus with one other woman who accused her of eradicating her scarf. She filmed the altercation, which went viral on social media. Activists say she was arrested, though for no less than two weeks there was no info over her whereabouts, spawning a viral hashtag “#sepideh_kojast” (the place is Sepideh?).
