Australia lock Swain handed two-week ban for red card v England

Published:

Australia lock Darcy Swain has been banned for two weeks following his red card for headbutting within the Wallabies’ 30-28 win in opposition to England at Perth Stadium final Saturday, World Rugby stated on Tuesday.

Swain was handed a red card within the first half after retaliating to having his hair pulled by England second row Jonny Hill, who was proven a yellow card for his half within the melee.

The judicial panel discovered Swain responsible of foul play.

Swain will miss the remaining two assessments of the England sequence at Brisbane’s Lang Park on July 9 and on the Sydney Cricket Ground on July 16.
